Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is characterized by widespread pain and tenderness in specific areas of the body when pressure is applied including back of the head, upper back, neck, upper chest, elbows, hips and knees. The pain usually persists for prolonged periods accompanied by stiffness. People with fibromyalgia commonly have nonrestorative sleep and wake up unrefreshed. Fatigue is a chronic problem. Fibromyalgia is commonly accompanied by irritable bladder, irritable bowel syndrome and restless leg syndrome. There are no laboratory tests for fibromyalgia. The symptoms include:

Discussion: Physicians are not of one mind about fibromyalgia. Some believe it doesn’t exist; others believe it is not an inflammatory disease; and still others believe cortisone doesn’t work for it. All agree that it is a painful, disabling disease and not much is available to control it. The rapid, near total relief of fibromyalgia symptoms using Microdose Therapy for five of six changes the scenario to a more positive outlook.

On rank ordering medical treatments
Patient global assessment measured in clinical trials, that is, patient’s opinion of success, is used herein to rank order medical treatment effectiveness. Virtually all clinical trials evaluate patient global assessment, and the objective of medical treatment is patient satisfaction. Comparing medical treatments with each other using other measurements is complicated because there is no one commonly acceptable measurement that represents each rheumatic disease, and rheumatic disease laboratory tests are nonspecific. The companies sponsoring the clinical trials provided clinical trial data to make this rank ordering possible.
Side effects
Pharmacists provide side effect lists for each prescription medication upon request.
